The described treatments demonstrated a reduction in both lipid peroxidation (13 and 14 nmol/mL, respectively) and DNA fragmentation (86% and 99%, respectively). The optimal concentration of -carotene in the laying hen's diet, as observed in our current study, was 500mg/kg, resulting in the best sperm quality measurements.
